West Star Premier League (WPL) & Globelink Sports Carnival (GSC)
Gearing up for another spectacular year, the 7th edition of the West Star Premier League (WPL) was hosted at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium on March 18-19, 2023. This annual cricket extravaganza saw a turnout of over 2,500 attendees, all of whom are dear friends and cherished family members of our vast Globelink West Star fraternity.
Beyond the thrill of the games, WPL has always been an avenue for fostering camaraderie, team spirit, and mutual respect. Season 7 was no different, with a plethora of engaging activities and competitions, tailored not just for our employees but their families as well. One of the highlights was the RRR (Reduce, Re-use, Re-cycle) contest, instilling the values of sustainability while adding a touch of fun.
Originating from the flagship WPL cricket event, the Globelink Sports Carnival 2023 spans two months of indoor and outdoor sports. This initiative underscores Globelink West Star’s commitment to employee well-being and physical fitness.
Participants shine across games, evaluated by colleagues and professional judges. Their true reward lies not just in winning, but in the recognition and praise bestowed upon the champions.
With over 750 diverse staff members, events like WPL & GSC highlight our strong bond. Each game and cheer emphasizes our unity as the Globelink family.
Starz Night: A Musical & Dance Spectacle!
After the WPL Cricket Event at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Starz Night, a cultural event extravaganza, took centre stage with solo and group performances of our staff, both vocal and dance.
Judged by experts on specific criteria, the evening mirrored a grand Bollywood gala, enhanced with a majestic stage, advanced lighting, and a vast LED screen. These cultural showcases captivate audiences, leaving an indelible mark of the Globelink family’s talent and unity.
